I recently discovered discrepecies in what I had been told of the
events. I investigated by searching the death registry/records in
Queensland. I obtained the Death Certificates. Importantly,
it set the time of the collision as 1961, in fact approximately 9:45pm
23rd November, 1961. These certificates also gave details of a
Coroner's Inquest. This led me to investigate further into the
Newspaper Reports at the time, and to obtain a copy of the
Coroner's finding and importantly the Evidence that had been given to
the Inquest. I have reproduced releant parts on this part of my
websites. It can be verified by anyone obtaining the Inquest
Report from the Queensland State Archives. I have included parts
of the Newspaper reports to show that this website is not a fiction.
Records of the Newspaper Reports can be obtained from the State Library
of Queensland. This was a front page report from "The Northern Miner".

the McVean's was not 82 but 84

After discussion with others, I now realize the Hugh Douglas McVean has
been suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD] since that
time. While so many of his actions to me since that time have had
a criminal nature, I now realize that he would not be criminally liable
for his actions. Because of the impact of PTSD upon a person, it
is as though the person I have known since 1967 has not been the REAL
Hugh McVean, but PTSD Hugh McVean. No doubt the
REAL
Hugh
McVean
was
that
student
who,
in 1961, after the speeches had finished went
back to his dormitory to obtain his luggage to put in the car, and then
travel with his parents and sister to a service station just
inbound
towards Charters Towers from All Souls, where Hugh's Mother Susan Mary
McVean nee Byers brought out some sandwiches she had, prior to leaving
Townsville, lovingly prepared in Townsville for her youngest child
Hugh, to have on his return from a year at boarding school. At
taht time, Hugh was aged only 16 years.
Reading the Inquest evidence was very sad. Also, I produce and
publish here, the
only
two
photographs
in
existence
of
the scene of the
collision. I did not receive all the material at the one
time. I received the copy of the Newspaper reports, first.

photopgraphs

online. I
looked at them for ages. I felt sick and sad. I knew what
had happened. I put myself in that situation.
While Hugh McVean's sister, then named Alison McVean, since married,
and then aged 23 years, was driving the car in which the four members
of the McVean family were travelling, she
cannot
be
held
responsible
in
any
way
at all for the collision. I will explain
the
clear
reasoning. The person responsible for the collision was a 75
year
old drunken paralytic parasitic criminal named Alfred Charles ORGAN
born 17 October, 1886, and who was driving without a driver's
licence, while drunk. All the evidence was before the
inquest. The
coroner 'found' that no party was criminally negligent. The
Coroner was Frederick William Shepherd. He must have been
corrupt, as were
the
police under Police
Commissioner
Frank
Bischof.
It is my contention, after reading the evidence, that the cause of the
death of the parents of Hugh Douglas McVean and Alison McVean was
Queensland Police corruption. I just hope that the REAL
Hugh McVean can emerge, even at this late stage, from 48 years of PTSD.
