TIPS for
Navigating HaigReport:  If you arrived at this page, referred from a Search Engine such as Google et al, your URL link will NOT have an #Anchor/Marker to take you to the relevant spot on this page.  In that case, we do recommend that you view our "Latest HaigReport Promotions" of recent additions to our websites, by Clicking Here.  It will open in a new Browser window.

If
you Click Here, you will be taken, usually, to the specific Unique Content on this page, for which you were most likely seeking.  However, if you Click Here, you will be taken to the Top of the HaigReport Header, below on this page.

However, if you have arrived at this page from another of our Website pages, your link will usually have an #Anchor, also called a marker, which will take you to the intended specific spot on the page where that marker is positioned.  In fact, it will probably take you there prior to your reading this.  Moving to that Anchor is the final step in the loading of this page.

 HAIG    REPORT:    WANTED:
Healthy female "dog" to breed with Parson Russell Terrier, to produce ASSISTANCE DOGS.   Rochedale South QLD 4123
I wish to breed from my Parson Russell Terrier. He is a trained assistance dog. He has a wonderful nature. The breed of his mate could be varied or a cross; eg Parson Russell Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Beagle, Bull Terrier, Bull mastiff, Staffy, and/or Fox Terrier plus many others. She does not need to be "pedigreed". I am very protective of my dogs. She will become very valuable to me and become one of my assistance "dogs". If we can assist each other, please contact me on my contact form, including your email address and your landline phone number so I can phone you to discuss.

Because I am disabled and have an LLB [so therefore understand the Law surrounding disabilities and assistance dogs] I am now branching out to providing Assistance dogs to disabled persons [even if disabled in only a minor way and so not even realizing it]. This is not a business proposition but rather just a very necessary service I can offer to the community.
Many people have a disability and do not realize their ailment or "problem" is by law, the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) [DDA], classified as a "disability". This is especially so for people getting on in years, and who have a dog, and are maybe moving to accommodation where they are told they cannot take their dog. In a majority of cases, those people cannot be legally forced to surrender their animal/dog.
I will be assisting those person who already have dogs, but are being forced, unlawfully, to dispose of them because maybe they are moving accommodation. I can train your existing dogs to be assistance dogs and provide the documentation as required by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) [DDA]. I do not intend to charge for this, but just maybe cover some marginal costs.

Building My Three Tonne Worm Farm Structure/MACHINE:

This is my worm farm MACHINE, for growing compost worms, and for making carbon rich worm castings by which means carbon from carbon dioxide in the atmosphere can be added back, sequestrated, into the soil, so reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.  The only moving parts [hopefully, or I may need to strengthen the platforms for each tray], are the compost worms and the worm wee draining from the mass.

My contribution TO THE REDUCTION OF GREEN HOUSE GASES will not be noticeable, but if everybody did as I am doing, rather than just talking about it and protesting about it, THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE.  Since European settlement in Australia, the composition of carbon in Australian soils has declined so reducing its water carrying capacity and hence productivity. Worm castings added to the soil increases it productivity and water efficiency.  As the worms grow, they urinate and that has to be drained off from the compost worm habitat.  That is used by many people to fertilize their gardens.  You can see how the ute trays slope and the worm wee will flow down into the upturned roof ridge capping into the bucket.  So easy compared to having a worm farm consisting of broccoli boxes, as I once had; a maximum of 140 broccoli boxes of compost worms consisting of approximately four million compost worms.

For decades I have been impressed with the concept of compost worm farms. They convert that which is a waste for other into  a valuable resource.  Most of the work is done by others, worms. That has been attractive to parasites over the ages, when those parasites resorted to enslaving others.  Primary production is far preferable.   About 30 years ago I suggested to my nephew that he could start a worm farm, build a business and make some money.  Nothing happened as I guess he was influenced by his parasite family.  I was in a situation in 2006 where by I could begin a worm farm.   I started with broccoli boxes. I learnt much about worm farming. Compost worms grow exponentially if they have sufficient feed stock; they approximately double in number every two months; rule of thumb.  With size, it becomes unmanageable in a short time interval.  Parasites caused me to lose those worms.

Back in 2006/7 I wanted a better arrangement than broccoli boxes.  I bought these two ute trays at Logan  Recycling about three years ago for $20 each.  I had to design how they would be used. Apart from 220mm x 12mm Cap head bolts and a couple of hundred 12G x 30mm hex head screws, all material was recycled and cost me nothing.  From my  experience with compost worms, I know it will work.  Having it should improve the productivity of my quarter acre here at Booval.

It is equivalent in volume to about 72 broccoli boxes abnd I should be able to remove about 500,000 worms every month, when it is working at maximum capacity provided I have the worm "feedstock" of basically anything which has lived including paper, crdf

The laborious part of producing websites and webpages is writing the text.  Now, with digital images, photos are so easy to take.  I have many photos of my worm farm structure being constructed, so I will order the photos to "tell the story", and then progressively add text to explain  much.  Google will just love that as the page grows.

Of course, if necessary, these can be strengthened by placing pipes and star pickets in the openings.  These are surprisingly strong anyway.   [I will show a photo of  some in place. I will go out and take that photo now.] Two photos related to this, follow this next one. At this stage, I have two star pickets and two pipes but they are not yet necessary.
The two following photos show how I pulled them out a short interval.  If the folded sheet metal brackets begin to deform, I can drive more star pickets into the void.
